Application

Working Principles

The test runs under constant pressure conditions, rubbing dry or wet circular wool felt against the sample. The machine stops automatically after completing the preset rubbing count. Operators then determine color fastness by checking the sample surface and rubbing pad for color transfer. Results are assessed using a standard gray scale to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Features

The Rub Fastness Tester performs multiple test methods, including dry rubbing, wet rubbing, perspiration rubbing, alcohol rubbing, and organic liquid rubbing. (Note: Customers need to prepare the test liquids themselves.)
The counter allows users to preset the number of test cycles and displays the actual test count. The machine automatically stops once the preset count is reached.
Its memory function saves the current test count if the operator stops the test manually before completion. The count remains stored until reset to zero or the test continues. However, when the machine is shut down and restarted, the count resets to zero while the preset value remains unchanged.
The Rotary Rubbing Fastness Tester can apply different loads according to the specific testing requirements.
